Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Program
415-695-7968
The Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Program provides comprehensive risk assessment and treatment for individuals who have cardiovascular disease or are at risk for developing cardiovascular disease. Intensive treatment of heart disease risk factors can substantially lower a person's risk of developing cardiovascular complications. Additionally, research has shown that people with type-2 diabetes suffer the same cardiovascular consequences as others who have already been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, which puts diabetics at high risk for sudden cardiac death, heart attack or stroke. The good news is that intensive treatment of risk factors can significantly lower the odds that a person with heart disease or diabetes will suffer these complications.
Services include:
- Extensive history and physical examination
- Laboratory testing
- Electrocardiogram (ECG / EKG)
- Stress echocardiogram test
- CVProfilor® test of arterial elasticity
- CT heart scan for coronary calcium
